Top 15 Amazing Natural Wonders

Posted by ALI Friday, August 28, 2009 0 comments

The world is inundated with the most prolific beauties of nature ever witnessed. Nearly everywhere there are inhabitants, an amazing piece of Earth’s wonder is never too far away. From huge forests to enormous collections of marine life, our planet shares its natural glory with us in some of the most astounding areas imaginable. Here are 15:

15. Central Sikhote Alin Russian Federation

Image021

The Sikhote Alin mountain range contains one the richest and most unusual temperate forests of the world. It is a mixing zone between taiga (an area characterized by coniferous forests) and the subtropics where southern species such as the tiger and Himalayan bear cohabit with northern species such as brown bear and lynx. The site runs form the peaks of the Sikote Alin to the Sea of Japan and is important for the survival of many endangered species such as the Amur tiger.

14. Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn – Switzerland

Kraj1

One of the most glaciated areas in the Alps, the site includes Europe’s largest glacier and a range of classic features resulting from glacial activity such as U-shaped valleys, cirques (an amphitheatre-like valley), horn peaks and moraines (any glacially formed accumulation of unconsolidated debris). It provides an outstanding geological record of the uplift and compression that formed the High Alps. The diversity of Alpine wildlife is represented in a range of alpine and sub-alpine habitats, and plant colonization in the wake of retreating glaciers provides an outstanding example of plant succession. The impressive vista of the North Wall of the High Alps, centred on the mountains of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau, has played an important role in European literature and art.

13. Cerrado Protected Areas Brazil

Argentina - Iguazu Falls - Tight From Above

The two sites included in the designation contain flora and fauna and key habitats that characterize the Cerrado – one of the world’s oldest and most diverse tropical ecosystems. For millennia, the sites have acted as refuges for species during periods of climate change and will be vital for maintaining Cerrado biodiversity during future climate fluctuations.

12. Alejandro de Humboldt National Park Cuba

Priotelustemnurus2

Complex geology and varied topography have led to a diversity of ecosystems and species unmatched in the insular Caribbean and created one of the most biologically diverse tropical island sites on earth. Many of the underlying rocks are toxic to plants and so species must adapt in order to survive in these hostile environments. This unique process of evolution has resulted in the development of many new species and the park is one of the most important sites in the Western Hemisphere for the conservation of endemic (characteristic of) flora. Endemism of vertebrates and invertebrates is also very high.

11. Galápagos Islands Ecuador

Santafeislandgalapagos

Situated in the Pacific Ocean some 1,000km from the South American continent, the19 islands of the Galápagos have been called a unique ‘living museum and showcase of evolution’. Ongoing volcanic activity reflects the processes that formed the islands. Located at the confluence of three oceanic currents, the Galápagos is a “melting pot” of marine species. These processes, along with the isolation of the islands, led to the development of unusual animal life – such as the land iguana, the giant tortoise and the many types of finches – which inspired Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution, following his visit in 1835.

10. Lake Turkana National Parks Kenya

Hippo205

Southern Island National Park has been added to Kenya’s Lake Turkana National Parks World Heritage site. The most saline of Africa’s large lakes, Turkana is an outstanding laboratory for the study of plant and animal communities. The three National Parks are a stopover point for migrant waterbirds and are important breeding grounds for Nile crocodile, hippopotamus and a range of venomous snakes. The Koobi Fora deposits, rich in mammalian, molluscan and other fossil remains, have contributed more to understanding paleoenvironments than any other site on the continent.

9. Yellowstone Wyoming, Montana, Idaho (USA)

Yellowstonemorningglory

Yellowstone National Park spans an area of 3,472 square miles (8,987 km²), comprising lakes, canyons, rivers and mountain ranges. Yellowstone Lake is one of the largest high-altitude lakes in North America and is centered over the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest supervolcano on the continent. Half of the world’s geothermal features are in Yellowstone, fueled by this ongoing volcanism. The park is the centerpiece of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, the largest remaining, nearly-intact ecosystem in the Earth’s northern temperate zone. Hundreds of species of mammals, birds, fish and reptiles have been documented, including several that are either endangered or threatened. The vast forests and grasslands also include unique species of plants. Grizzlies, wolves, and free-ranging herds of bison and elk live in the park.

8. The Grand Canyon Arizona (USA)

Canyon5 Lg-1

The canyon, created by the Colorado River over a period of 6 million years, is 277 miles (446 km) long, ranges in width from 4 to 18 miles (6.4 to 29 km) and attains a depth of more than a mile (1.6 km). Nearly two billion years of the Earth’s history have been exposed as the Colorado River and its tributaries cut their channels through layer after layer of rock while the Colorado Plateau was uplifted.

Just paying the bills...

7. Columbia Ice Fields Alberta, Canada

Columbia-Icefields-Athabasca-Glacier

The Columbia Ice field is located in the Canadian Rockies, astride the Continental Divide of North America. The ice field lies partly in the northwestern tip of Banff and the southern end of Jasper National Park. It is about 325 km² in area, 100 to 365 metres (328′ to 1,197′) in depth and receives up to seven meters (23 feet) of snowfall per year. The ice field feeds eight major glaciers, including: Athabasca Glacier, Castleguard Glacier, Columbia Glacier, Dome Glacier, Stutfield Glacier, and the Saskatchewan Glacier. The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s Largest coral reef system. It is composed of roughly 3,000 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for 2,600 kilometers (1,616 mi) over an area of approximately 344,400 square kilometers (132,974 sq mi). The reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland in northeast Australia. The Great Barrier Reefcan be seen from orbit and is the world’s biggest single structure made by living organisms. This reef structure is composed of and built by billions of tiny organisms, known as coral polyps. The Great Barrier Reef supports a wide diversity of life, and was selected as a World Heritage Site in 1981.

5. Angel Falls Venezuela

Angel Falls Majestic-1

Angel Falls is the world’s highest free-falling, freshwater waterfall at 979 m (3,212 ft), with a clear drop of 807 m (2,648 ft). It is located in the Canaima National Park, in the Gran Sabana region of Bolivar State, Venezuela. The height of the falls is so great that before getting anywhere near the ground the water is buffeted by the strong winds and turned into mist. The base of the falls feeds into the Churun River, a tributary of the Carrao River.

4. Vredefort Dome Johannesburg, South Africa

Vred9

Two billion years ago a meteorite 10km in diameter hit the earth about 100km southwest of Johannesburg, creating an enormous impact crater. This area, near Vredefort in the Free State, is now known as the Vredefort Dome. It was voted South Africa’s seventh World Heritage site at Unesco’s 29th World Heritage Committee meeting in Durban in July 2005. The meteorite, larger than Table Mountain, caused a thousand-megaton blast of energy that is now considered the largest meteor impact sight on Earth.

3. Aurora Borealis Northern Hemisphere

Aurora Borealis

Auroras are natural different colored light displays, which are usually observed in the night sky, particularly in the polar zone. In northern latitudes, it is known as the aurora borealis, named after the Roman goddess of the dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for north wind, Boreas. It often appears as a greenish glow (or sometimes a faint red), as if the sun were rising from an unusual direction. The aurora borealis is also called the ‘northern lights’, as it is only visible in the North sky from the Northern Hemisphere. The aurora borealis most often occurs from September to October and from March to April.

2. The Amazon Rainforest South America

Amazon Rainforest

The Amazon Rainforest is a moist broadleaf forest in the Amazon Basin of South America. The area is also known as Amazonia or the Amazon Basin, and encompasses seven million square kilometers (1.2 billion acres), though the forest itself occupies some 5.5 million square kilometers, located within nine nations: Brazil (with 60 percent of the rainforest), Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana. The Amazon represents over half of the planet’s remaining tropical rainforest in the world.

1. Milford Sound New Zealand

1669-Milford-Sound

Milford Sound is located in the south west of New Zealand’s South Island. Although called a sound, it is more accurately classified as a fjord. Milford Sound, the most famous tourist site of New Zealand, has also been called an eighth Wonder of the World by Rudyard Kipling. It is situated within the Fiordland National Park which is in turn part of the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site. Milford Sound runs 15 kilometres inland from the Tasman Sea and is surrounded by sheer rock faces that rise 1200 metres or more on either side. Among the peaks are The Elephant at 1517 m (4977 ft), said to resemble an elephant’s head, and Lion Mountain, 1302 m (4271 ft), in the shape of a crouching lion. Lush rain forests cling precariously to these cliffs, while seals, penguins, and dolphins frequent the waters. The drive to Milford Sound itself passes through unspoiled mountain landscapes before entering the 1.2 km Homer Tunnel which emerges into rain-forest carpeted canyons that descend to the sound. Near Milford Sound are also locations used to film some of the scenes of the Argonath in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

Making Money With Forex - Is it Really Possible?

Posted by ALI Thursday, August 27, 2009 0 comments

Due to the fact that 95% of forex traders are losing money right now, the idea of making money with forex seems like an impossibility to some. You can certainly understand why.

But let's examine why there is such a separation between the 5% who are marking money with forex and the 95% who are losing money. What makes these traders so different from one another.

Some people think that the 5% have some kind of "inside" information that the 95% aren't aware of. While that certainly may be possible, I seriously doubt that is the case for the entire successful trading public.

Some people believe that it's an intelligence issue. They somehow feel that this elite 5% had a better education, higher IQs, etc..... that they are able to grasp all the mysteries of forex trading, while the other 95% are just throwing darts at a dartboard. Well, that's wrong as well. I can tell you with great certainty that successful trading has nothing to do with intelligence. I've met some traders who make 7 figures a year who didn't even graduate from high school.

It really boils down to thinking outside the box. Many people conform to the ideas of using lots of bells and whistles. For instance, a lot of traders love the idea of slapping a bunch of indicators on a chart, and letting these indicators make their trading decisions for you. This is where many people go wrong, and this is why the failure rate is so high. If you want success, you should try to see the markets in its purest form, and for a technical trader, this means using price action.

John Templeton has been a successful forex trader after learning how to trade price action. Once he understood that all he needed to trade forex was on a plain chart with no indicators, his profits soared. He developed his own course, called Trading in the Buff, where he teaches traders how to properly learn forex

What is Forex trading and how did the name originate?

The Forex trading name derived from Foreign Exchange. The first three letters of Foreign and the first two letters of Exchange are added together.

Forex trading is about dealing in international currencies to make money. When trading in the stock market we sell the currency of one country to buy that of another, hoping to make a good profit.

Before the onset of the internet, Forex trading was open only to multinational corporations and banks. Now, many people work from home with their Forex trading money business.

The Forex trader deals in Foreign Exchange at the most appropriate time to profit from the transaction. Dealing in the stock market requires a good ability to forecast the outcome of all currency transactions.

Trading in the forex market is popular because although there are frequent fluctuations in currencies, in percentage terms they may be small.

You may then wonder how trading in currencies can be such a lucrative earning opportunity since fluctuations in exchange can be so little. However, when trading in large volumes, a small change can mean a lot.

You can make a lot of money Forex trading online in the stock market. But there are certain conditions to follow before trading in foreign currencies.

A thorough knowledge about the trends in the stock market is required. You should also know the basics of this type of trading and risk taking. Alternatively, you can use a robot for attaining these conditions. Especially a robot that does all the forex trading work for you!

You gain if the fluctuation favors you and the reverse holds true as well. No one can accurately predict the trend of the currencies. Liquidity is another reason why Foreign Exchange is so popular.

You can make lots of money trading in currencies, even if your initial investment is quite low. So remember that even with a nominal investment, your earning ability is certainly very large.

Most of the great businesses are connected to the internet today, and Forex is no exception. It is now easy for you to work from home and start trading in foreign currencies. In fact, it is fully conducted online. You are at liberty to choose when to start trading, without having to meet any deadlines.

You can quickly start your own work from home Forex trading business. The process of trading online in the currency market is fairly simple for anyone to understand. Especially with a currency robot that does all the trading work for you.

Why Blog Fails

Posted by ALI 0 comments

Most of the readers of this article are people who are actively involved in blogging, internet marketing or social networking for business...or people who are looking for a good way to GET involved in these activities.

One of my biggest goals is to communicate the fact that there really isn't a hardcore secret to making it work. You need to be purpose-driven and work hard at it.

The Reason Blogs Fail That said, what IS the reason most blogs fail? This is my honest assessment: the reason most blogs fail is because they were improperly researched to start. Probably very little or NO research was put in at the beginning, and as a result the blogger failed to get any meaningful results. Then they quit.
I would quit too if I got no results! If you're getting no results, it's smart to move on to something else. It's important to know the difference that a failed blog doesn't mean you're a failed blogger! I hope these bloggers are not giving up on blogging altogether. I hope they are picking up the pieces and learning from their mistakes...and moving on to more successful projects in the future.

But the idea stands: if you want a successful blog or internet marketing plan of any kind, you need a fully detailed plan to start off. You may be surprised to learn that MOST business owners have no business plan of any kind. No written goals at all. I'm sorry, but you cannot run a meaningful business and achieve meaningful results without a plan.

The Magic of a Business Plan The magic of writing up a business plan is NOT in the finished project. You can throw the business plan in the trash for all I care (figuratively speaking; it's best to keep it, refer back to it and continue to revise it at least quarterly). The real power in writing a business plan comes from the writing process.

* What is your target audience?
* How will you target them?
* What will be your main source of traffic?
* What steps do you plan to take to ensure you get the traffic you need?
* How do you know these steps will be effective?
* How will you measure the success of your blog?
* How do you know that getting those results will create a meaningful impact on your business?

Answering questions like this put you in the hot seat. Will your idea for a blog work? I don't know, but don't you think it's better to find out before you spend the next several months working on it?

Failure to plan properly is not the ONLY reason a blog can fail of course, but it's the number one reason. It's amazing how many businesses are out there operating with no plan whatsoever. If you take your success seriously (why wouldn't you?), do the necessary work to write a proper business plan. You'll be doing yourself a serious disservice if you choose to skip it!

This is PAY PER CLICK (PPC) ADVERTISING program for affiliates. It is also known as Affiliate Marketing. In this the merchant (companies) pay affiliate (you) for selling their services directly or indirectly, in exchange for a commission (which is a % of sold product or service). This is a program which you can give you very high earnings if used properly. It takes a couple of months to learn Adwords but it is worth trying.

How does this works?

The complete process is explained in points

1. There are many companies promoting large number of products over the Internet each and every day.

2. These companies want you to promote their product on internet and in turn get Good commission when a product is sold.

3. You are the affiliate who will promote product through Google and earn commission. You will send potential customers to the merchants using Google adwords.

NOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO

Step1. Get product links from companies through affiliate networks.

Step2. Paste this link in Google ppc forms and promote the product.

Step1

First of all what are affiliate networks .These are middlemen who give you product links from companies for free. So you are not in contact to companies directly. Popular affiliate networks are:

1. Commission Junction (CJ)

2. ClickBank

Imp Points

1. In Commission Junction, you sign up as a publisher.

2. In ClickBank, you sign up as an affiliate.

3. In CJ, during registration you are asked for your website URL.

If you do not have a site then you can enter http://www.adwords.com

4. If CJ asks you to enter website name, then put Google Adwords.

5. If CJ asks for your website description, then you can put promoting

through Google Adwords. In category, you can put Web Services -> Search Engine.

6. Get only Keyword links from companies through CJ or ClickBank.

7. Fully understand the working of CJ or ClickBank or both. CJ offers very good interactive tutorial.

8. Work with CJ since it is much more professional and provides good support to publishers.

9. Learning the working of CJ or ClickBank will take time. You cannot understand everything in one day.

Step2

Now you have got the product link. It’s time to promote the product through Google adwords on Google. You ads are displayed on Google on a Cost per Click (CPC) or Cost per 1000 impressions (CPM).

CPM - Cost Per thousand Impressions .It is the cost for displaying a banner 1000 times. Thus, if a banner ad space has a CPM of $7; it means that the cost of displaying a banner space one thousand times on that space is $7.

CPC - Cost Per Click. This is how much you would pay the ad-network every time a visitor clicks on your banner. CPC rates can be as high as $5 per click or as little as 5 cents per click. It depends on your product and your market.

In order to show your ads on Google network, Google charges you some amount of money. This money is used to buy you traffic on Google Network. There are two types of Adwords account- Starter AND Standard. Choose the starter account. There are two payment options:

(1) Prepay – In this you have to pay money before Google shows ads. Your ads will be shown only after Google receives money from you. Minimum payment varies with country (usually around $25).Google does not charges you money for displaying ads, but you have to pay on a CPC or CPM basis. Google mostly charges you on a CPC basis, CPM is rare.

Let us take an Example.Suppose you promoting a product link which is charged on a CPC basis. You have paid $25 to Google. The product gives you $5 commission and each click is for $0.01.

>> 2000 clicks – 10 products sold – Money earned = -25 + (10 X 5) =$25

>> 2500 clicks – 20 products sold – Money earned = -25 +( 20 X 5) =$75

>> 2000 clicks- 5 products sold- Money earned = -25 + (5 X 5) = $0.

CPC rate may not be same. It is generally more. After your $25 is used, Google will stop showing your ads.

(2) Post pay – In post pay, there is no limitation. Google won’t stop showing ads.You will have to pay at the end of month.

In both these methods, you can pay by credit card or money transfer by bank.If you are a beginner, then you should start with prepay. It is a much safer option. In adwords, you can choose the area where you want to show your ad. You can also choose the language in which your ad appears. I will tell more in coming posts.

Backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page. In the search engine optimization (SEO) world, the number of backlinks is one indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page (though other measures, such as Pagerank, are likely to be more important).Outside of SEO, the backlinks of a webpage may be of significant personal, cultural or semantic interest: they indicate who is paying attention to that page.

Backlinks enable you to keep track of other pages on the web that link to your posts. For instance, suppose Alice writes a blog entry that Bob finds interesting. Bob then goes to his own blog and writes a post of his own about it, linking back to Alice's original post. Now Alice's post will automatically show that Bob has linked to it, and it will provide a short snippet of his text and a link to his post.

Why backlinks are important?

Simple reason, the more the backlinks, the more the traffic. Suppose there is verygood quality website having a high pagerank. If the site provides a link to linkto your site, then your site has more chances of receiving good traffic. You might have seen people leaving their blog address with their comment. It serves as a backlink.

Another important point!

Search engines often use the number of backlinks that a blog or site has as one of the most important factors for determining its search engine ranking. Thus backlinks also improve Pagerank.

Now you know what backlinks are. But how to get backlinks for your blog. It’s pretty easy but very less people follow these steps

1.Join forums and groups on Yahoo and Google. Write articles, post queries and leave your blog address there.

2.Write comments on blogs having high Pagerank and leave your blog address there.

3.Post good quality articles on sites like Ariclecity, goarticles, etc and leave your blog address there.

4.Make sure your blog has good content. If content is good then visitors will come back again.

5.Submit your site to popular blog directories. Submit to only those which are having a high Pagerank.

6.Join social bookmarking sites. These sites bring a lot of free traffic and moreover the traffic is send directly.

Follow these steps and your traffic will be more than double in three months. One important point-Pagerank is calculated on the number of backlinks but make sure you have backlinks on sites which have a Pagerank. If you have backlinks on sites of low Pagerank then you Pagerank will go down.
